An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team here at Shenick Vet Centre, Skerries.
This role will entail a mix of consults and surgeries, working 40 hours per week over a 5-day period, with every Sunday off and 1 in 3 Saturdays, No out of hours.
Salary: Salary scale from €38,000 to €50,000 DOE
Shenick Veterinary Centre is your new, one-stop pet care provider. Our fully equipped Hospital in Skerries caters to the town of Skerries and to the areas of Rush, Lusk, Balbrothery and Balbriggan. Our branch in Stamullen offers services convenient to Stamullen, Naul, Gormanston and surrounding areas. And our new state of the art Balbriggan branch recently opened in October 2019 catering to an even larger population of North Dublin.
About the Team and Culture
We are a small animal practice based in North County Dublin, we offer a modern, progressive facility with all the mod cons. Our friendly and welcoming team consists of 7 Vets, and 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses spread over 3 clinics with support staff and full-time receptionists. We work well as a team and encourage professional development and have veterinary specialists in USG, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology and Exotics. We are an experienced and clinically strong practice, who have the facilities and caseload to support clinical development.
Veterinary Surgeon with at least 5 years’ experience, the ideal candidate demonstrates previous experience as a first opinion General Practitioner, with good communication skills and the ability to work independently. We are looking for a VCI registered, dedicated team player, that demonstrates good advanced surgical competencies and the ability to conduct consultations. Experience with Exotics would be an advantage.
