Registered Veterinary Nurse

The Role

Here at Beaufield Vets we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to: In-patient care, surgical and dental nursing, laboratory diagnostics, nurse clinics, radiography, anaesthesia and reception work.

We want to make sure every member of staff has a great work/ life balance, so we are happy to be flexible with the rota to fit in with the applicant's lifestyle. The rota includes working a 4-day week (33-36 hours per week). The ​typical shift structure is  9-7 once a week, 9-8 twice a week and 9-3 once a week. There will be 1:3 Saturdays from 10:30-1:30. No out of hours.

We currently have a great team of 6 Vets, 7 Nurses, a Practice Manager and Support Staff. The successful candidate will be a good communicator and team player who is interested in using their education at a practical level every day, doing what they do best: nursing; and is also interested in pursuing further learning and both personal and professional development in an environment where there is great support and always someone on hand to help when it is needed.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who is friendly, capable of working in a team, and committed to providing excellent nursing care to the animals while also being able to deal with the owners in a compassionate and empathetic way.

The applicant should have some experience of working in a small animal veterinary environment. The applicant should be interested in applying the skills they learned during their training in practical ways, and in advancing their learning on the job, by learning from others in the team, and from CPD. The applicant should be interested in mental health awareness, self-care, compassion, and resilience.
