The Role
Mullingar Pet Hospital require an additional, enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. You would oversee general registered veterinary nurse duties, caring for inpatients, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting vets and nurse clinics.
We are a small animal hospital that are seeking a full-time RVN for the hours of Monday – Friday 9:00-6:00, and 1 in 3 Saturday’s (9:00-1:30).
Salary: up to €30k DOE plus benefits.
About Us
Mullingar Pet Hospital were appointed small animal hospital status in 2007 and operate to a high standard. We have a good pm system and are very organised, even with online booking.
Located in the centre of Ireland, Mullingar is situated in our lakelands and enjoys the best of both worlds with a lively social scene and shopping in conjunction with the beautiful countryside on our doorstep. We also are renowned for our food with many award-winning restaurants in the town.
We have a huge music tradition with Brezy from the Blizzards, Nial Horan from One Direction, The Academics, Joe Dolan. Belvedere House on the shores of Lough Ennell hosts many open-air concerts during the year, and we boast world renowned pubs, where great pints and good food abound.
For sporting fans, we have an award winning 18-hole championship golf course, rugby club, hockey club, tennis club, triathlon club (biggest in Ireland), cycling club (2nd biggest in Ireland), athletics club (top club in Ireland), Mullingar equestrian centre, cricket club and hiking club, diving club, sailing club and swimming club. We have 3 leisure clubs and numerous gyms, and Centre Parcs Ireland is only a few kms down the road. We also have many renowned lakes for fishing and a Greenway and Blueway that stretches 50km in either direction out of Mullingar.
About the Team and Culture
We have a culture of consideration and kindness in the practice toward the patients but also to staff members, we are a very close community and there is a very positive atmosphere in the practice.
We are a team of 2 Vets, 1 RVN, 1 Vet Assistant, a full-time Receptionist and our Practice Manager who ensures we can concentrate on our clinical caseload. We are established for over 26 years and have a loyal clientele who are a joy to work for.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse that demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. We are looking for a enthusiastic RVN who can show initiative and has a passion for nursing and maintaining a high standard of patient care.
