Due to continued growth and one of our nurses returning to education, we are in search of an additional RVN to join our team. Locum hours and permanent positions are available.
At Kilcoole Vets we like to make the most of our nurses. We value your skills and opinions and want you to spend your time caring for patients, not answering phones. Your responsibilities will include:
- nurse consultations (senior wellness, developmental checks, emergency triage, etc.)
- surgical nursing
- inpatient care
- in-house laboratory (bloods, urinalysis, etc.)
Part time: Minimum 3 days per week, no weekends or out of hours.
Full time: 4 day working week, weekends and bank holidays evenly shared. No out of hours.
Salary for the role is between €27,000 - €40,000 per annum FTE depending on experience.
We are a very busy, progressive first opinion small animal practice where professional development and fresh ideas are strongly encouraged.
We aim to provide the best veterinary care possible and are always striving to improve. We have in house haematology, biochemistry, computed radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, and are awaiting delivery of a new therapeutic laser and upgraded ultrasound.
We are conveniently located just off the Main Street of Kilcoole, a rapidly growing seaside village in County Wicklow with both train and Dublin Bus service.
About the Team
Plenty of support is available from our current team of 5 vets, 3 nurses, and 8 support staff.
2 of our vets are working on Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging certs, and one of our nurses has also recently started a cert in physiotherapy.
The new candidate will help fill in where our student nurse is returning to college and support the addition of a new vet who will be starting in November.
If you are friendly, hardworking, and passionate about providing the best possible care for your patients and their pawrents, Kilcoole Vets might just be the place for you.
Candidates must be fully qualified and registered (or eligible to register) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
New graduates and experienced nurses are welcome to apply.
