The Role
The Pet Hospital in Waterford has an amazing opportunity for an RVN to join their expanding team at The Pet Hospital in Waterford.
This position would suit both experienced and newly graduated nurses. General nursing duties and consults are included in this role with rotations of theatre and inpatient nursing also. There is some light reception work involved from time to time within this role. The Hospital is well equipped with state-of-the-art digital x-ray, ultrasound, gas anaesthesia, capnography, full in-house laboratory and a comprehensive range of medications. At present we have a cohesive team of 4 vets, 3 nurses and 2 support staff; and we are looking forward to welcoming a fourth nurse to our team.
The working hours are Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm. A typical day is divided between surgery and clinic with a break from 1 to 2 for lunch. There is no OOH or on call in this role.
Salary is up to €35,000 and dependent on experience level.

Founded in 1998, The Pet Hospital is a leading small animal veterinary hospital based in Waterford, providing the highest quality of animal care to pets across the south east for over 23 years .
About the Team and Culture
We have a team of 4 vets, 3 nurses and are hoping to expand this team to cope with the ever-increasing demand for veterinary services in Waterford city. Supporting this medical team, we have 2 receptionists that keep the clinic running smoothly.
Applicant Requirements
The candidate must be an RVN registered with the VCI and eligible to work in Ireland. You would need to be able towork as part of a cohesive team and have good communication skills.
