Auburn Veterinary Hospital in Mullingar are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their practice team.
We are a busy Mixed practice located in Mullingar accessible by public transport routes. Located about 45 minutes from Dublin in the heart of the midlands, Mullingar is a hub of bustling activities with many different varieties of sporting clubs from cycling, triathlon, GAA, rugby and more. Our canal is a hotspot for exciting water sports, walking and cycling routes. In the town you can find plenty of amazing cafes, restaurants and pubs for an engaging social life.
Our hospital boasts equipment and facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house blood analyzers.
Our friendly team is made up of 5 full-time Veterinarians, 2 part-time Veterinarians, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Support staff. We are proud of our cohesive and well-established team. We work closely together in all aspects of our roles and believe that each member of our team is vital.
The Role
This is a permanent, full-time position for a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
The full-time hours are flexible of 35-40hours per week over 4-5 days per week. A typical work week would look like: 8:30am-6pm x 4 days plus every 2nd Saturday 8:30am-2pm.
There is no OOH or on call.
We believe in utilising a Veterinary Nurse to their fullest skill and ability. The main duties of the role include Surgical & Clinical nursing, Dentistry, Radiography, Laboratory sampling & testing, Pharmacy & Dispensary management, Client advice & management and Nurse consultations.
Salary for this position is up to €31,000 commensurate with experience level.
Applicant Requirements
All eligible applicants must be registered as an RVN with the VCI.
Any level of experience will be considered for this role, and we encourage new graduates to apply.
Newly graduated veterinary nurses will be supported and have the option to join the IVC Evidensia Nurse Academy.
