Shenick Veterinary Centre is a group of busy, small animal, first opinion practices and referral hospital in North County Dublin. Our practice locations are in Skerries, Balbriggan and Stamullen.
We have all the mod-cons including Ultrasound, digital radiography, IDEXX blood machines, Endoscopy, dedicated Surgical suites with multiparameter patient monitoring. We have an amazing team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated support team of Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists. Some of our Vets and Nurses hold a range of certificates in Opthamology, Ultrasound and Anaesthesia with others currently pursuing certificates in Soft Tissue Surgery and Endoscopy.
We also have a Hydrotherapy referral centre located in our Skerries hospital that also performs Hydrotherapy, Laser therapy and other rehabilitation services. We have a very friendly team with multiple social events held throughout the year!
The Role
Due to expansion and an ever-growing workload we are looking for a Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team of professionals!
The duties and responsibilities involved with this role include all aspects of general veterinary nursing like medical nursing of inpatients, monitoring surgery, nursing clinics and more. Postgraduate certificates are fully funded should you wish to pursue your own area of interest. And with our bespoke Nurse Graduate Academy this role is highly suitable for new graduates looking for their supportive, first step into a veterinary career.
This is a full time permanent position of 35-40 hours per week with 1 in 3 weekends. However flexible part-time roles will also be considered for the right candidate. There is no Out of Hours or On Call with this position.
Salary is up to €36,000 with a relocation allowance available for the right candidate if required.
Applicant Requirements
Both experienced and newly qualified veterinary nurses will be considered for the role. For any new graduate nurses applying we also have the option to utilize our fully funded Nurse Graduate programme.
The ideal candidate must be an enthusiastic team player with priority on high standards of patient care.
