Are you ready to take your veterinary career to the next level? Mullingar Pet Hospital is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our vibrant, close-knit team in the heart of Mullingar! 

 

The Role:  

  • Position: Full-time, Permanent 

  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week 

  • Weekend Shifts: 1 in 2 Saturdays (sometimes 1 in 3) 

  • Out of Hours & On-Call Duties: None 

  • Salary: €30,000-€35,000 commensurate with experience 

  • Start Date: April 2025 

 

What You’ll Bring 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Mullingar Pet Hospital, you’ll be at the heart of patient care and client education! You’ll assist our Veterinary Surgeons in a fast-paced, dynamic small animal practice. Your responsibilities will include everything from conducting nurse consultations to managing a busy caseload and providing top-tier patient care. This is the perfect role for an experienced RVN who thrives in a challenging and rewarding environment, handling a wide variety of cases while keeping patient care at the forefront. 

 

Applicant Requirements  

  • Required: You must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland to practice veterinary nursing. 

  • Ideal Candidate: A motivated, confident RVN who works well within a team, has excellent communication skills, and places patient care above all else. 

  • We welcome applications from new graduates too, although some experience is preferred. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners, we'd love to hear from you!

We’re a dynamic small animal practice located in the bustling town of Mullingar, with excellent transport links, just a short walk from the rail and bus stations! Our team consists of 1.5 vets, 1 nurse, and 2 support staff, ensuring we maintain a friendly, efficient, and collaborative environment. We offer dental and x-ray facilities on-site and specialize in small animal care only. It’s a busy, fast-paced practice where no two days are the same!
