Vet Care are seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join their team in their Small Animal referral hospital located in Athy, Co Kildare.
At Vet Care you can expect state-of-the-art medical care for our patients. We keep our practice up to date with all the latest medical equipment necessary to offer top-of-the-line veterinary care including Digital X-rays, Ultrasound, Gastroscopy and a fully equipped laboratory with comprehensive blood and urine analysis.
Vet Care is a group of four Veterinary Practices located in Kildare, Carlow, Laois and Dublin. We are mostly first opinion practices; however our main referral centre is in Athy. We offer referral services in Orthopaedics, Ultrasound (both cardiac and abdominal) and Soft Tissue Surgery.
In Athy we have a magnificent team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Veterinary Nurses and 3 Support Staff. Two of the Veterinary team have certificates in Small Animal Surgery and Cardiology. The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position of Veterinary Nurse located in our referral centre in Athy.
The full-time work week typically cover 5 days (40hours) per week with a 1 in 4 Saturday shift. Weekday shifts are 9am-6pm and you will get a day off in lieu for any Saturday shifts covered.
Duties & responsibilities will be allocated depending on your experience level but typically will include inpatient care, surgical nursing, client communication, nurse consults and other similar roles.
There is no OOH in this role.
Salary is up to €33,380 depending on experience.
Applicant Requirements
We are seeking a Veterinary Nurse eligible to register with the VCI.
This position would be suitable for a new graduate as we have a large supportive nursing team and complimentary access to the IVC Evidensia Nurse Academy!
