This Group Veterinary Advisor role will provide support to Clinical stakeholders, Area Directors and Area Support Managers in their leadership and coaching, driving IVC Evidensia Ireland through our next phase of growth. 
This is a key role in the influence of clinical outcomes and continued development of our clinical strategies via Area Directors, Area Support Managers, and at clinic level. 
The role will also support the Graduate Academy. IVC Evidensia strongly believes that graduate's benefit from as much support as possible during their first two years—not only from their practice team but also from additional sources such as our Graduate Academy, and individual mentorship. and continued development of our clinical strategies via area directors and at a clinic level

Main Purpose of Your Role: 

Provide clinical and operational support to IVC Evidensia Ireland practices in order to promote profitability, resolve problems, and encourage performance. 
 
Improve levels of patient care, client service, and client experience 
 
Depending on the needs of the business, work closely with the teams in those sites which have been identified as a concern wherever they are in the group 
 
Assist with the Graduate Academy team in designing and delivering a comprehensive Graduate Academy programme that shapes the professional development and success of our graduate vets, in line with IVC Evidensia’s mission.   

 

Key Objectives: 

  • Work closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Operations, Country Medical Director, Head of People, Area Directors and the Area Support Managers to achieve group objectives. 

  • Work with Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement, Acquisition teams and other support functions to achieve the successful management of the business. 

  • Improve the profitability of sites, particularly with regards to pricing, charging, and the appropriate working-up of cases. 

  • Support and intervene at site level as directed. 

  • Work with Practice Principals, and other practice staff where necessary to give them guidance, direction, and advice. 

  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Culture and Group Head of Graduate Academies 

  • Assist in identifying local clinical and non-clinical training needs, define appropriate modules and identify suitable trainers to deliver an educationally sound, blended curriculum.  

  • Partner with internal and external partners to deliver clinical and non-clinical modules, ensuring they adhere to expectations on approach, delivery mode and learning objectives.   

  • Manage relationships and contract processes with event venues, ensuring cost-effective delivery of CPD sessions.   

  • Oversee the delivery of online and in-person sessions, ensuring a professional approach and exemplary experience for graduates and trainers.   

  • Coordinate with internal teams to align Graduate Academy with other Academy programmes, marketing initiatives and recruitment activity.   

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external sponsors to ensure engagement and support delivery of the programme.   

  • Identify and implement cost-effective improvements to ensure Academy is delivered within budget.    

 

The Ideal Candidate 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an established and experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is up to date on the latest legislation, markers of clinical excellence and best practice protocols. This role has a wide remit and the job holder(s) must be flexible and possess a full, clean driving licence. 

Applicant Requirements 

  • Strong clinical background with at least five years of veterinary experience in a practice environment. 

  • Strong understanding of the statutory framework in which our practice teams operate 

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting systems, clinical performance reports, and business plans. 

  • Strong understanding of strategic business planning 

  • Strong understanding of learning principles and programme design.  

  • Demonstrable leadership capability: able to motivate teams, drive performance and handle difficult conversations.   

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.  

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.  

  • Proven experience in programme management, preferably in a learning and development or talent development role. 

  • Innovative and creative mindset, with the ability to develop engaging and impactful learning experiences.  

  • Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant software.  

  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to assess program effectiveness.  

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities. 

 

Salary 

Commensurate with experience.
