Receptionist - Gorey Veterinary Hospital

 

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is seeking a receptionist to join their phenomenal team in Gorey, Co Wexford. 

 

The Role 

• Full-time, permanent position 

• 31 hours per week, 4 day week (Monday-Wednesday and Saturday) 

• On-site parking available 

• Wage is €13 per hour

Applicant Requirements 

We are seeking a trustworthy, reliable and friendly person able to work in a fast-paced veterinary practice environment. The successful applicant must have: 

• Previous receptionist experience in any service-related industry 

• Experience in veterinary or animal care is beneficial but not essential 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Be competent with computers and learning new IT systems 

• Comfortable with cash handling 

• Demonstrate high standards of hygiene and cleaning 

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Be a team player 

• Possess great organizational skills 

• A love for animal welfare is a requirement 

  

Who we are 

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is a mixed practice located in County Wexford. Situated in the sunny southeast, famed for its vibrant markets, local community, coastal beaches and heritage history, Gorey is about 45 minutes from Dublin city. It is accessible by major roadways, train and bus. Our purpose-built hospital has two examination rooms, a dedicated operating theatre and a prep room with a separate large animal examination unit adjacent to the main building. We have on-site radiography, dentistry facilities, ultrasound, hematology and biochemistry machines. Our team is made up of 3 full-time Veterinary Surgeons, 2 part-time Veterinarians, 2 Veterinary Nurses, and 4 reception/admin staff.
