Veterinary Surgeon - Athlone Veterinary Hospital
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful team at Athlone Veterinary Hospital. The role will include a mix of small animal surgery and consults and tb testing. You will be working a 5-day week including OOH’s and 1 in 5 weekends with a half-day in lieu of a weekend worked.
The salary will be up to 60,000 depending on experience.
Athlone Veterinary Hospital is a mixed practice in Athlone (SA/LA/Eq). We offer all mod cons including but not limited to, haematology and biochem machine, digital X-ray, ultrasound. We are a highly motivated team with a great support network. Located in the centre of Ireland, Athlone boasts loads of great history, food, views, and more. Located on the River Shannon, approximately 1 hour from Dublin and Galway.
We have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 4 Support Staff. The new candidate will be guided through their first year by the support vets and staff. We have a very welcoming practice with a great sense of comradery, and we are passionate about what we do.
We are looking for a VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills and a desire to practice good medicine and surgery. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary. Our ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team and be a good team player.
