Veterinary Surgeon - Auburn Veterinary Hospital

 

Auburn Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team from December 2024. 

 

 

The Role 

Discover a new challenge 

  • Full-time, Maternity Cover Contract for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon 

  • 70% Small Animal – general first opinion practice, routine surgery, diagnostics and emergency 

  • 30% Large Animal – general farm calls, calving/sections. No TB testing 

  • Salary is up to €60,000 commensurate with experience level 

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm 

  • OOH is 1 night per week and 1 in 4 weekends 

  • Start date in December 2024

Applicant Requirements

  • VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon eligible to work in Ireland 

  • SA Skills: Must be competent in basic, routine surgery (Cat & Dog spays, castrations, lump removals etc) 

  • LA Skills: Must be competent in Calving/Sections 

  • All levels of experience will be considered however must be able to perform the above procedures without support

Our friendly practice is made up of 4 full-time Veterinary Surgeons, 2 part-time Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Veterinary Nurses and 3 support staff. We are proud of our cohesive and well-established team. We work closely together in all aspects of our roles and believe that each member of our team is vital.
