Raheny Veterinary Hospital in Dublin is a state-of-the-art Small Animal Referral Hospital located in North Dublin, 800M from the Raheny Dart station with a coffee shop en route! We have all the typical mod-cons in a referral hospital allowing in depth case work up on your patients; including Digital Radiography, Endoscopy, Ultrasonography, Laparoscopy, Dentistry services, In-house Laboratory and two Surgical suites with multiparameter patient monitoring.
At Raheny, no two days are ever alike and you should expect an interesting variety of medical and surgical caseloads.
Our brilliant team consists of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants and 6 Receptionists. We have certificate holders in ECC and Wildlife, with many of our Vets and Nurses currently studying for certificates in Dentistry, Exotics and Anaesthesia. We have a friendly, hard-working and fast-paced environment! Our focus is on offering gold standard Veterinary care with a proactive approach to employee wellbeing.
The Role
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for a Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months to cover Maternity Leave starting in October.
This is a full-time position of 39hours/4 days per week with 1 in 3 weekends.
A typical work week would consist of 3 short days and 1 long day. The shift patterns are flexible.
There is no Out of Hours with this role.
Your responsibilities would rotate between different aspects of the hospital covering consulting shifts, surgery shifts and floating shifts giving all vets and nurses time to work up their cases.
The salary for this position is between €50,000-€60,000 depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is dedicated and passionate to providing the best veterinary care to patients and clients. You will need to be a team player with the ability to work as part of a high performing team of Veterinary staff!
You will need to be proficient with surgery and internal medical case work up.
