Westside Veterinary Clinic is a busy, well established small animal practice located on the outskirts of Cork city centre. We are in the process of expanding and upgrading our veterinary services, which includes the addition of a new Veterinary Surgeon to join our team!
We have all the usual in-house facilities and equipment aimed to ensure we offer the highest possible standard of veterinary care to our patients and clients. We have Ultrasound, Blood Analysers, Microscopy, Endoscopy, Xrays and more. We have a faithful client base and frequently work very closely with charities.
Our location near Cork city means we have excellent access to bus routes into the city centre. Our current team consists of 4 Veterinary Surgeons and 4 Veterinary Nurses. We have an Opthamology specialist and another Vet undertaking a certificate in Internal Medicine. We actively encourage continued development and support all interest with CPD. We hope the new candidate will join our team of enthusiastic professionals. We pride ourselves on upkeeping a work-life balance for all and delivering a high standard of veterinary care.
The Role
This is a full time permanent position for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon.
Day-to-day duties would be routine small animal clinical work that includes surgery and first opinion consultations. You would be responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care, excellent client communication and thorough work-up of clinical cases.
Salary for this role is up to €70,000 depending on experience.
Applicant Requirements
You must have a degree in Veterinary Medicine and be registered with the Irish Veterinary Council.
The candidate must be confident in most aspects of clinical work with a desire to provide excellent veterinary care.
This position requires a level of experience that would not be suitable for a new graduate.
